The Sledgehammer is the continued evolution of a Custom Bass Version of the Battlehammer. It’s a fully tricked out bass overdrive/distortion/fuzz and the most versatile pedal in the range.
At its core is an OP07 Operational Amplifier with a pair of LEDs (with an internal three-way clipping diode jumper to select other diodes for varying levels of compression and dynamics). The LEDs give a nice crunchy and punchy tone. No diodes or “The Open Setting w/ no jumper” will give the most headroom and dynamics and lastly Silicon diodes will give the most compressed tone and gain. The Tone Stack allows for a huge tone sculpting power. The bass control knob cuts or boosts low end. The mid control is semi Parametric so you can dial in the perfect frequency from high to low mids. Along with the frequency control knob, there is also the Q or bandwidth control that narrows or widens the bandwidth along with a tight Q setting for funky resonant sounds or precise frequency cut or boost. Lastly the treble control cuts or boosts high end. The Jfet Powered Clean Blend with a Low Pass Filter is used to preserve your clean low end fundamentals. There is also a Mosfet Clean Boost allowing up to approx. 30dB of clean volume - super useful for low gain settings where you need extra volume, really pushing your amp or even going direct to a power amp.

All pedals are true bypass as standard and powered by the industry standard (boss style) negative tip 9V DC power supply. For best results use a reputable regulated pedal power supply.
