Battlehammer Manual

Detailed Instructions of the Features and Operation of the Battlehammer

Starting life as a highly tuned LM308 Rat style distortion but with the addition of treble and bass controls in the form of the Baxandall style shelving eq found in the Matamp GT120. This gives the ability to cut and boost treble and bass while also cutting and boosting the mid range frequencies. With treble and bass controls below 12 o'clock - the mids are boosted. Above 12 o’clock they are cut, giving a near endless variety of tonal options. There is also a bunch more low end available for low tunings, baritones, basses and synths etc.

The pedal also includes an always in circuit 30 dB Clean Boost. When the boost foot switch is engaged, there is a volume increase of up to 30dB, with absolutely no change to the tone of the pedal. With that said - driving any amp with that much volume will most likely change the tone of the amp as the preamp is driven harder. It’s super useful as a lead boost or always on for low gain settings where you need extra volume, really pushing your amp or even going direct to a power amp. The clipping toggle allows the user to flick between traditional Silicon clipping diodes on the right side to LEDs on the left for a more modern Turbo setting. The middle position gives the option of no clipping diodes for a less compressed open tone that’s very similar to the LED setting in most setups. Between this toggle and the gain knob - the Battlehammer goes from low gain drive, through various stages of distortion and all the way to fuzz with the gain knob maxed.

The pedal graphics are hand pulled screen prints on powder coated or hand sprayed cases. Colours can vary from run to run, feel free to get in touch for more info.

All pedals are true bypass as standard and powered by the industry standard (boss style) negative tip 9V DC power supply. For best results use a reputable regulated pedal power supply.
